Do You Want Financial Freedom?

What does it mean to have financial freedom?
Does it mean that you can do whatever you want with your money? In a way, yes. But in another way, no.
The idea of financial freedom means that you know how to
make smart choices when you spend your money. For example, you don’t spend money the minute you get it—and you don’t just buy everything you want.
It also means that you
save some of your money. You decide on a goal that you want to save for—and then you stick to it. For instance, you might decide that you want to save money for some clothes. You know that you have 12 weeks to save, so you put away $15 a week. If you stick to your goal, then you’ll have $180 to spend.
Of course, you’re not old enough to have total financial freedom. That’s why it’s a good idea to l
earn how to handle money now. It’s kind of like school; you don’t use all of the information right away. So you learn and practice some things now, so you’ll be better at them later!
Financial freedom also means that you can
tell the difference between things that you want and things that you need.
Needs are those things that help you survive;
wants are things that make life more fun or interesting. An easy example is this: You need food to live. You want an MP3 player so you can enjoy music.
Think about how you use your money. Are you ready for financial freedom?
